Pups were born March 29.
Originally 10 pups but we lost one. 1st pup was a male chocolate and Liz is
licking him clean. The next pix is taken 2 days later with the litter.
Third is at 2 days with a black pup. Eyes are closed as are the ears.
Ears a thick flaps of skin right now and the faces are still pushed in. |

Here are the pups on April 3rd.
They are gaining in weight but still very small and faces are still pretty
flat. They are getting stronger and can crawl around on their bellies.
In a week the eyes should open |

On Easter, April 12th the pups
turned 2 weeks old. The eyes are starting to open now. Mom still
spends a lot of time with them. They will start trying to walk this
next week and everyone will have their eyes open during this week. |

 |
 |
At 3 weeks the eyes are open and
they are doing some walking. Mom is spending less time with them now
and primarily going in to feed and clean them. They still sleep and
eat most of the time. |

At 4 weeks old the puppies are
walking, barking, playing with each other and working on being weaned from
mom. They love to be held and still sleep in puppy piles. They
no longer have the swimming pool since they can climb out. They took
over part of our kitchen. |

Pups at 5 weeks old. They
are pretty much weaned from mom. The are shown eating their moistened
puppy chow. The love to sleep in puppy piles. You can see the choc
with the white patch, toe and goatee stretched out in the middle. Liz likes
to do that too. They all have pink bellies. |

 |
The pups are now 6 weeks old and
have their first set of shots. The love attention. I'm jealous
of the one getting the neck rub while laying on his back in the sun.
Liz (Mom) loves to lay on her back, so this shouldn't be too unusual.
They like being held, playing and giving kisses. |

The pups are 7 weeks
and starting to go to their new homes. They have enjoyed playing with
each other and will soon be bonding with their new 'pack'. Maple seeds
have fallen and they seem to find them tasty. Well, everything is
tasty to a pup! |
