4/18/10 The pups were born yesterday. Their eyes and ears are sealed.
They have puppy fur right now that is short and has no outer coat. They
cannot walk but can pull themselves along their bellies by just a short
ways. They are totally dependent on mom. All are nursing and birth weights
were good. |

4/24/10. The pups were 1 week old yesterday. They have at least
doubled their size and are all healthy and strong. They are pushing
themselves along with their legs and sometimes put weight on them. The
eyes and ears are still closed and there are no teeth. They sleep a
lot and mom still spends most of the day in the whelping area. She
does enjoy some walks, but she shortens them up and wants to go back and see
her pups. She's a good mom. |

5/1/10 The pups are 2 weeks old today. Their eyes have been open a
couple of days. They are doing some walking but really can't see too
well with their eyes yet. They are large for 2 weeks old because mom
has a lot of milk for them. They don't bark yet but make some grunting
or whining noises sometimes. They still sleep most of the time.
It is still a sleep and eat time in their lives. |

5/8/10
The pups are now 3 weeks old. They have their eyes open and they are
still blue for now. They are walking pretty good and have a bark now.
Their teeth are beginning to emerge. They still sleep a lot but do get
around to start playing. Mom's not cleaning up so well for them so
they have newspapers now. They are still nursing on Mom but she
doesn't spend all day in with them anymore. She comes and goes
throughout the day to feed and check on them. |

5/15/10 These photos were taken on Saturday at 4 weeks of age. They
are no longer in their enclosure since they can crawl out. They now
have a portion of our kitchen. Mom feeds some, but they are on
blenderized puppy chow mixed with milk replacement. They have their
front teeth and play with each other. |

5/23/10 At 5 weeks old. The pups are pretty well weaned.
They are starting to play with toys but still like to chew on each other, or
your show laces, the best. They have an outside building with a heater
and indoor/outdoor run. They enjoy exploring. |

5/29/10 Pups are now 6 weeks old. They have had their 1st shots and
are eating only puppy chow now. The eyes are starting to darken - more
so in blacks than chocolates at this age. Starting to play more with
toys. Will start going to their new homes in a week or so. |
